iPad iOS 4.2 Update Released Soon

The iOS 4.2 update will finally bb released for the iPad after an intial postponement.

Other device such as the iPhone has been postponed until November 24.

Expected to be released with the update is the new version of iTunes. Version 10.1 has the built in support for the new firmware of the iPad operating system.

iOS 4.2 build 8C134b has proven to not have the previously discovered wireless bugs that postponed the operating system’s launch on the 12th.

Source state that the iPad iOS 4.2 has a new founded stability in comparison to previous builds. Apple adds new features including networking features for Apple’s music social networking site Ping, which is featured for the iPad

Users are excited about the new multitasking functionality that the operating system provides. As well, Airplay features that have been added allows video and audio to be streamed to compatible devices wirelessly. The iOS 4.2 is set to officially ship in new products starting November 24 2010.

After delays on the release of the much anticipated new iOS 4.2 for iPad, Apple customers once again find disappointment from the Apple team.

After previously released that “November 16th will be a day that you will not forget”, but left out all other related details.

In the hopes that the upcoming news would announce the release of iOS 4.2, customers have once again only found disappointment. And what was the announcement? Who knows, the page simply says to return tomorrow for an announcement, a big disappointment while yet a surprise for some.

The good thing is that November 16 isn’t over yet in the US and in fact, the business day is just beginning to unfold, while November 16th is all but over in other parts of the world.

Government Licensing Internet? Hells No!

In what is sure to bring a great deal of heat down on Microsoft, one of their top executives has recently proposed that the government should begin licensing access to the internet.

The suggestion was made by Scott Cheney, a Microsoft security official, at a conference in Berlin. Cheney suggested that the government be able to restrict who is and who is unable to access the internet, with certain precautions in place. Cheney has suggested that PC’s infected with malware and other dangerous programming be quarantined and be denied access to the internet.

At the conference, Cheney also suggested that the government use special programs be implemented so that both specialized firms, as well as the government, could “track and control” computers. He compared the program to the CDC.

‘Like It’ Facebook Status

Facebook has recently reviewed site statistics and that users who click the sites ‘Like It!’ button generally have more in-network friends and click on more external links that a typical Facebook user.

Facebook theorizes that ‘Like It!’ users have less of an offline social network and are typically more active on the site, clicking external links more than 5.4 times than the average user.

The statistics have also shown a dramatic increase in website traffic for those sites who also implicate the ‘Like It!’ button.

‘Sporting News’ has seen a 500% increase in traffic while ABC News has increased hits by nearly 190%.

Facebook has more than 500 million users.
