Fan Buys Jackson’s Home

A Michael Jackson fan is now the proud owner of the Las Vegas mansion rented by the late pop icon in 2008. The mansion has been the gathering point for Jackson’s many grieving fans. The home sold for $3.1 million. The buyer was a doctor and lawyer couple who owns property in California and Asia. Their names were not disclosed by Vegas Fine estates, the broker working the deal.

The previous owner turned the property over to the bank to avoid foreclosure and the sale closed on Tuesday. The home is the largest sale in Las Vegas for the last twelve-month period.

The broker has faced many challenges in trying to sell the home. Many fans have tried to pose as potential buyers just to get a look inside the mansion.

According to Carolyn Mullany of Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, the home features 15,000 square feet of luxury. The house has seven bedrooms, two office suites, an elevator, a theater room and an orchestra loft. The master bedroom has a fitness room, dance floor and dry sauna. The property also contains tennis and basketball courts.

Jackson reportedly rented the home for $1,000,000 over six months between 2006 and 2007 after returning from overseas.
