iPad iOS 4.2 Update Released Soon

The iOS 4.2 update will finally bb released for the iPad after an intial postponement.

Other device such as the iPhone has been postponed until November 24.

Expected to be released with the update is the new version of iTunes. Version 10.1 has the built in support for the new firmware of the iPad operating system.

iOS 4.2 build 8C134b has proven to not have the previously discovered wireless bugs that postponed the operating system’s launch on the 12th.

Source state that the iPad iOS 4.2 has a new founded stability in comparison to previous builds. Apple adds new features including networking features for Apple’s music social networking site Ping, which is featured for the iPad

Users are excited about the new multitasking functionality that the operating system provides. As well, Airplay features that have been added allows video and audio to be streamed to compatible devices wirelessly. The iOS 4.2 is set to officially ship in new products starting November 24 2010.

After delays on the release of the much anticipated new iOS 4.2 for iPad, Apple customers once again find disappointment from the Apple team.

After previously released that “November 16th will be a day that you will not forget”, but left out all other related details.

In the hopes that the upcoming news would announce the release of iOS 4.2, customers have once again only found disappointment. And what was the announcement? Who knows, the page simply says to return tomorrow for an announcement, a big disappointment while yet a surprise for some.

The good thing is that November 16 isn’t over yet in the US and in fact, the business day is just beginning to unfold, while November 16th is all but over in other parts of the world.

Government Licensing Internet? Hells No!

In what is sure to bring a great deal of heat down on Microsoft, one of their top executives has recently proposed that the government should begin licensing access to the internet.

The suggestion was made by Scott Cheney, a Microsoft security official, at a conference in Berlin. Cheney suggested that the government be able to restrict who is and who is unable to access the internet, with certain precautions in place. Cheney has suggested that PC’s infected with malware and other dangerous programming be quarantined and be denied access to the internet.

At the conference, Cheney also suggested that the government use special programs be implemented so that both specialized firms, as well as the government, could “track and control” computers. He compared the program to the CDC.

‘Like It’ Facebook Status

Facebook has recently reviewed site statistics and that users who click the sites ‘Like It!’ button generally have more in-network friends and click on more external links that a typical Facebook user.

Facebook theorizes that ‘Like It!’ users have less of an offline social network and are typically more active on the site, clicking external links more than 5.4 times than the average user.

The statistics have also shown a dramatic increase in website traffic for those sites who also implicate the ‘Like It!’ button.

‘Sporting News’ has seen a 500% increase in traffic while ABC News has increased hits by nearly 190%.

On Thursday, September 23, 2010, Facebook gave its addicted users withdrawal symptoms.

The hugely popular onsite media was actually having problems. People who have become used to always having Facebook when they want it were actually astonished that they couldn’t log in.

The sites problems was important enough for the Huffington Post to put out a warning that disruption of Facebook was sure to cause a problem ith its world wide users.

Facebook has more than 500 million users.

The disruption today also occurred in its overseas versions.

The server would come on and say log in and then go off and say server is not available.

Cam Newton Suspended? Nope

Cam Newton Has Not Been Suspended – Will Play Against Georgia on Saturday

Although the is Internet buzzing with reports of Cam Newton’s imminent suspension, those reports that have turned out to be false.

The rumor that the Auburn Tigers’ starting quarterback would be suspended within a few hours due to an NCAA investigation into a pay-for-play clause that is supposedly attached to Newton’s contract is believed to have stemmed from a misunderstood comment made by Ian Fitzsimmons during a radio broadcast.

After listening to Fitzsimmons a blogger erroneously tweeted a message that read, “ESPN Dallas’ Ian Fitzsimmons is reporting that within 3-4 hours the NCAA is going to suspend Cam Newton,” and the story soon spread across cyberspace.

Auburn Tigers’ coach, Gene Chizik, however quickly shot down those reports and gave this statement to reporters, “I want to get this off the table upfront – Cameron Newton will be playing Saturday against the Georgia Bulldogs. We’ve prepared and focused like any other week. Nothing has changed.”

Gebremariam Wins In His Debut In The New York Marathon

Winner of the men’s division of the 2010 New York Marathon, is Ethiopian, Gebre Gebremariam.

This was his first marathon and was relatively an unknown before his victory. In the last two miles, Gebremariam was running alone and without effort. At a little over 2 hours and 8 minutes, he broke the tape at the victory line. Second and third place for the men, went to 2 Kenyans, Emmanuel Mutai and Moses Kipkosgei.

For the women, Edna Kiplagat, from Kenya took first place. She was followed by Shalane Flanagan from the United States.

In the wheelchair competition for the Marathon, the winner was David Weir. Second place went to Masazumi Soejima, and third went to last year’s winner, Kurt Fearnly. For the women in the wheelchair division, Tatyana McFadden, from the United States, was the winner.

Cam Newton Under Investigation

ESPN released a report yesterday stating that Auburn quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Cam Newton in being investgated by the NCAA and others.

Apparently the NCAA, the SEC Conference and Auburn has been aware of this information since September. This stems from when Newton was being recruited out of junior college. A man representing Newton was looking for a six-figure sum to lure Newton to a university.

Former Mississippi State player John Bond turned this information over after the man representing Newton called him asking for $180,000. Bond said he was told that other universities had already offered 200,000.

The man representing Newton is former college player Kenny Rogers. Rogers operates a service out of Chicago that runs camps and matches high school players with colleges.

Everyone involved in this case is now being investigated.

Cain Velasquez Vs Brock Lesnar Full Fight Recap: UFC 121 Results

In recent years, UFC fighting has become one of the most growing and popular sports in the country. The sport’s popularity is largely due to intense fights between extremely strong and athletic competitors. On Saturday night millions tuned in to watch UFC 121, which matched up two of the sport’s most popular fighters in Brock Lesner and Cain Velasquez.

Going into the fight it appeared that Lesner would be the heavy favorite. However, as it turned out his competitor was too much for him. Velasquez proved to be extremely dangerous as he utilized everything he had learned through his mixed martial arts training. Velasquez ended up winning the fight via a TKO in the first round as he repeatedly knocked Lenser down.

In other UFC action Saturday night fighters Jake Fields and Martin Kampmann went all three rounds, but Shields eventually defeated Kampmann via a split decision. Before that Diego Sanchez beat Paulo Thiago through an unanimous decision and Matt Hall defeated Tito Ortize through an unanimous decision.
