It still seems that there is no progress in the peeping tom case involving ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews.

It has been the big topic on all the major network morning shows and Andrews has said very little involving the incident.

According to her attorney, steps are being made to make sure that Andrews is protected from any kind of future intrusion.

Erin Andrews, the ESPN sideline reporter for the network’s college football and basketball telecasts, was the victim of a peeping tom who had posted a video of her naked in an undisclosed hotel room.

Some sources are now saying that there might not be any way that the person can prosecuted so there is a huge legal issue in the making. Another big item involving this case was websites who had posted the video were entrapping viewers with malicious spyware.

The aforementioned video has since been taken down from most popular websites including YouTube.

Yet Another Athlete in Possible Trouble With the Law

It seems to be a daily occurrence that either an athlete or politician is involved or allegedly involved in criminal activity, usually of a sexual nature. The star quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger has been accused in a civil lawsuit of sexual assault in July of last year in Nevada. Pro Football Talk broke the story, but other news outlets picked up the story and ran with it.

The plaintiff, Andrea McNulty, who works for Harrah’s casino, alleges that Ben Roethlisberger asked her to his room to fix his television and while there sexually assaulted her. Ben Roethlisberger has a reputation as one of the more religious of the sports figures, so it is even more shocking to hear this accusation.

David Cornwell, Mr. Roethlisberger’s attorney brings up two interesting points. Why wait so long to file the lawsuit? And why a civil lawsuit and no criminal charges filed?

The suit was filed while Ben Roethlisberger was playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. It is interesting to note that there are nine other defendants in the lawsuit. Does this mean that there were more alleged attackers involved than just Ben Roethlisberger? Or are the other defendants being sued for negligence in not running a safe establishment? According to the Hollywood Reporter Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell have joined the cast of “London Boulevard”, the directorial debut of Oscar winning writer William Monahan (“The Departed”, “Body of Lies”).

Already cast in the film are David Thewlis, Anna Friel, Ben Chaplin and Ray Winstone.

“London Boulevard” is being adapted from Ken Bruen’s novel of the same name about a criminal in London who’s just been released from prison and becomes involved with a young actress.

Filming began in London this week for release sometime in 2010. Knightley can last been seen in “The Duchess”, has just finished filming “Last Night” and “Never Let Me Go” and is currently working on this film and “The Beautiful and the Damned”.

Ferrell will next be seen starring with Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Christopher Plummer and the late Heath Ledger in “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” due out on September 4.

New York – Actress Farrah Fawcett’s struggle with cancer has been a long and public two year affair. Through various ups and downs, Fawcett has shown strength, heart, and courage, though it has been clear from the beginning that this is not a battle she has fought by herself. She has relied on the support of her friends and family, namely her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal.

O’Neal has been steadfast in his devotion to Fawcett, and the two have been involved for many years, even sharing a son, Redmond, together. As Fawcett has battled with anal cancer, O’Neal has been a constant in her life, often representing Fawcett to the media, especially as reports suggest that Fawcett’s strength may be waning.

The relationship between the two has been somewhat ambiguous, but new reports suggest that the longtime duo recently considered marriage while Fawcett was receiving cancer treatment in Germany. Speculation and rumors have cycled for months about the likelihood of such an event, but a friend of the couple confirms that the two did look into it during Fawcett’s most recent trip overseas to receive treatments not yet sanctioned in the United States.

While both Fawcett and O’Neal seemed to be ready to tie the knot, friend Joan Dangerfield explained, the couple simply did not have the time to follow through with the appropriate paperwork while they were there.

Official or not, it is clear that O’Neal will continue to be there for Fawcett, who is currently facing advance stages of the disease.

Earlier this week, Fawcett’s condition seemed to be improving as she was able to sit up in bed and eat a steak from her favorite restaurant.  He 90-year-old father was also able to visit.

More Controversy for Carrie Prejean

There is more to being a beauty queen than knowing how to smile and walk around on stage. Just ask this year’s Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who may not have gotten the Miss USA crown, but has seen more than her share of press.

The latest news surrounding Prejean are the nude photos leaked online, of which she admits there could even be more. While many celebrities have such skeletons in their closets, for Prejean these photos were especially problematic, since she signed an agreement with the Miss California pageant saying she had never posed for morally questionable photos.

The photos were only the latest controversy surrounding Prejean, which started during the question portion of the Miss USA pageant where she stated that she believed marriage was meant to be between a man and a woman. Since then, Prejean has joined with various churches and organizations in defense of traditional marriage, an act that made the Miss California directors unhappy.

While Prejean was reprimanded, the head of the Miss California pageant, Donald Trump, finally settled the matter, saying that the photos were acceptable shots, especially considering that Prejean was a successful model as a teenager when the photos were taken.
