The movie Rajinikanth’s Robot has been a success in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. These were the first three areas the film was shown and the critics are giving it positive feedback.

The film will soon be coming to the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia. The film is about a scientist to creates a robot in his own likeness.

This machine has the cognitive capabilities of a human and actually falls in love throughout the film. Terrorists want to use this machine to cause devastation and destruction.

The creator must decide how to control the robot who thinks on his own and keep him on the side of science and peace instead of terrorism and war.

Cheerleader For Jacksonville Jaguars Attacked

Mackenzie Rae Putnal, Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleader and her boyfriend, Kassim Osgood were attached by Mackenzie’s ex-boyfriend, Julian Armond Bartletto, who Mackenzie had recently obtained a restraining order against.

The couple was on the second floor of the home watching TV when someone entered the home armed with a gun.

The assailant wore a bag over his face and grabbed Putnal by the hair while beating her with the gun, then proceeded to whip Kassim and the dog with the pistol.

After being able to arm herself with a gun, the couple was able to escape to a neighbor’s house and call 911.

Bartletto was charged with false imprisonment, armed robbery, aggravated battery, burglary, and violation of the restraining order.

There is no lack of news this week when it comes to the hit ‘Twilight Saga’.

The latest film installment of the book series, ‘Breaking Dawn’, has cast actress Maggie Grace in the role of Irina, a member of another vampire clan. Irina blames the Cullen family for the death of her lover, Laurent. Little heard of Mackenzie Foy is rumored to have the role of Renesmee, the half-human and half-vampire daughter of Edward and Bella. It has also been announced that the honeymoon segment of the movie will be filmed in Brazil.

‘Breaking Dawn’ will be released in two film segments.

The first installment is set to release in November 2011, followed by the second segment in November 2012. The movie is set to be the final ‘Twilight’ film.

Comedian Greg Giraldo Dies

Successful stand-up comedian Greg Giraldo died on Wednesday, five days after he was hospitalized for an apparent prescription drug overdose.

Giraldo had toured the country many times as a headliner at many comedy clubs and venues. He may be best known to the general public as one of the judges on NBC’s show Last Comic Standing.

Giraldo was a former lawyer who gave up the profession to learn the craft of comedy. Giraldo was a frequent guest on David Letterman and Conan O’Brien. He also was friends with Howard Stern and Jon Stewart.

Giraldo’s Facebook page will remain up so fans can offer condolences. He was 44 years old.

Actor Joe Mantell, who is best known for his supporting acting roles, has died. He passed away September 29, 2010 at a hospital Tarzana, California at the age of 94.

Mantell appeared in several iconic movies such as ‘The Birds’, where he starred as a traveling salesman and as Angie, opposite Ernest Borgnine in the film ‘Marty’. The actor is best known for his simple, one liners. In the film ‘Chinatown’, where he co-starred movie veteran Jack Nicholson, he played as Gittes’ partner. Mantell had the closing lines in ‘Chinatown’, where he said, “Forget it, Jake, it’s Chinatown.”

During his career, Mantell had starred in an impressive 70 different roles.

MTV reality star Amber Portwood has announced in the recent edition of Us Magazine that she has lost 65 pounds post pregnancy.

Portwood was in the reality series Teen Mom and she went on to say that she was tired of being chunky. ‘I have been chunky my whole life’ said Portwood.

Portwood gave birth to a baby girl back in November of 2008.

Afterwards she decided that she needed to lose some of the baby weight.

Once she had lost 20 pounds, she decided that she wanted to lose more. She went on to say that she has been studying the marital art Krav Maga and is getting ready to enter her first competition.

Only a week after Deadliest Catch captains Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand were sued by Discovery network comes word that the Time Bandit captains and Sig Hansen have quit the smash-hit cable series. The Hollywood Reporter dishes that the trio issued a statement on Tuesday outlining that they were “unable” to continue on the documentary series because of the lawsuit.

“We have been through a lot over the past year and unfortunately, given the current situation with Discovery, we are unable to continue participating in Deadliest Catch,” the document read. “It has been a fantastic ride, and we wish the best to all of the amazing and supportive Catch fans we have met over the years.”

Discovery has not issued a statement yet, but they can’t be happy about this development. Not only are the three captains very much the heart and soul of the show, but the series itself is coming off of record ratings since documenting the real-life death of Catch captain Phil Harris, who succumbed to complications from a stroke in January.

Discovery filed a $3 million lawsuit against the Hillstrand brothers after they walked away from production of a spinoff series that focused solely on them. Hansen later weighed in on the lawsuit, backing his fishing co-stars.

“I want people to know the captains stand together, and me and my brothers support them 100 per cent,” Hansen stated on behalf of himself and the crew of the Northwestern.

Now, with the 2010-11 snow crab season approaching in October and production of the series ramping up, Discovery is missing three key cast members. Four if you count the late Harris.

Kirstie Alley has always been honest about Her weight and appearance.

The actress who shot to fame in 1980 with the movie “Look Who’s Talking,” alongside John Travolta, came up to star in a sitcom called “Fat Actress” which showed the intricacies of being overweight in Hollywood.

In recent years, Kirstie gained and lost weight several times.

This past week, Alley tweeted that she lost 50 pounds on her new diet.

“I’ve lost over 50 lbs and I’m having the time of my life,” the actress wrote on her Twitter account.

Google celebrates its 12 birthday today with a birthday cake drawing by the Los Angeles artist Wayne Thiebaud.

Google.com was registered as a domain name on September 15, 1997, and the company later incorporated on September 4, 1998. No one is sure why Google chose to celebrate today, September 27th. Google had their 10th birthday on the 26th of September, and they have had other celebrations on the 7th.

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They met during college at Stanford University, where both were working towards their Ph.D. they named the search engine ‘Google’, as play on the word ‘googol’, the mathematical term for 1 followed by 100 zeros. Brin designed the first Google logo, which resembled Yahoos logo, “Google!” Since then the Google logo has changed, and is often tailor-made for holidays and other current events. On the 30th anniversary of Pac Man, for example, Google’s logo became an interactive version of the game.

In the last twelve years Google has come a long way. Continuously making the list as one of Forbes “best companies to work for”, it has been listed number 1 twice. Google credits its casual work atmosphere as a key ingredient in obtaining this honor. “Work should be challenging, and the challenge should be fun” is one of their many beliefs. Having remarkable growth over 12 years, Google has a net profit of $6.520 billion, and assets around $40.497 billion.

Google’s search engine was followed by numerous computer applications including Google Earth, the web browser Google Chrome, the Picasa photo organizational tool. On the 25th of September 2010, Greg joined other celebrities to perform at a rally to bring attention to causes supporting those in recovery in New York.

The New York Recovery Rally is being held for the third time at the Harlem River Event Site on Randall’s Island.
